Wake Up The Echoes
Lots of people hate Notre Dame. I know that. But lots of people absolutely love Notre Dame. So many, in fact, that odds are you know one or two of them.
If that is the case, will you do me a huge favor and send them this link: Notre Dame 2012 Season Preview
The guys at One Foot Down have put together a really great product and it costs less than a buck.
It's amongst SB Nation's first forays into doing some cool things with eBooks. Pretty sure we'll be able to do something REALLY kick ass with Texas next season (video, audio, animated play diagrams!!!) but this book doing well will go a long way toward getting us some budget for that.
So, even if you hate Notre Dame, buy two. Thx.
Be excellent to each other.

ND
College football needs Notre Dame. I hope they become good again. Watching CFB without Notre Dame is like watching Star Wars without Darth Vader.

No, CFB really doesn't need ND
It’s not like a down Notre Dame has hurt the revenues or growth of college football.
Did college football need the service academies to be good forever? Did it need the Ivies to be relevant? I’m sure there were people making those arguments 60-80 years ago.

Fine
But I really enjoy when they lose. It is like the Yankees for others. You either hate them or love them.

Irish aren't as loathsome . . .
as they were when Paul Hornung won the Heisman on a 1-9 team . . . or got voted into a national championship over an undefeated Alabama team after having played for a tie . . .or as they were on Jan. 1, 1978.
And I’ve softened my stance on them having their own network. Funny that.

Their own network? You mean ESPN?
