Colt dropped to #2

Wish he would have been traded to someone like the Packers. That franchise keeps getting closer and closer to being non-existent again. Looks like this decision had a little bit of politics mixed in. Would have liked to see a QB competition throughout the preseason and make Weeden prove himself a bit. Practice doesn't indicate a starter when they're a rookie. Here's to Colt getting a better gig and soon...
Be excellent to each other.

Long Time Browns Fan
Born in Cleveland, and believe me - being a fan of that team is just a curse. Never a semblance of competence, constant regime changes, an owner that won the “lucky sperm” contest from daddy and brought nothing to the table.
Colt is a class act - I am unsure whether he will be able to be a full fledged starting QB in the NFL - but I am hoping the Browns show a little class, release him, and move on.

You have my sympathy as a Browns fan,
but ever since Concussion-gate it’s been obvious that the Browns front office no longer valued Colt; maybe they decided to use him as the scapegoat so Schermer, Holmgren and Heckert would face no accountability for the absolute joke of a team they put out last year. When will the Browns learn that changing QB’s every year isn’t the answer - if the rest of the team is beyond awful? Tom Brady or Aaron Rodgers would’ve had a hard time breaking .500 with the collection of talentless hacks the Browns had last year.

He doesn't have an NFL arm.
Simple as that.

I agree with you.
The final chapter hasn’t been written on Colt. I’d take him as a backup for the Cowboys any day of the week.
