Manny Diaz & Oscar Giles Want LBs and DEs Who Love Football & Texas

I am loving Drew Kelson's series. Was up tonight working and stumbled across some videos that dovetail nicely with some things and some people Drew has been talking about. DEs, Derrick Johnson, Brian Orakpo, etc.

Take the under on number of years before Manny Diaz is a head coach somewhere.

You are going to love this though, becuase he coaches at Texas now.

Manny Diaz was such a great hire as DC,

I hope to God we can keep him for 4 years, or at least three. No question in my mind that he will be a head coach soon.

A&M;'s all-male cheerleaders, or "Yell Leaders", will be right at home when visiting Arkansas. It's like "Deliverance", but it's real...

If So

Just give him the deal Will got. That would keep him for 3-4 years.

Great little features. I am getting so F************** exCIted!

When Manny leaves, my lip will quiver a bit as I try to smile and wish him the best for his future.
You have to be able to let go if you truly love someone.
Then I will go off into the darkness of my closet, crumple into the corner, and cry my heart out, remembering the good times, while I eat a whole box of turtles.
Meanwhile, I am going to go stare at pictures of Ashley Judd in order to counter this odd feeling that I would like to have his children.

Is this a DREAM TEAM of coaches or what? When was the last time anyone had this much hungry coaching talent together at once?

Clinging to the hope...

…that Mack retires soon enough for us to bag Manny for HC. Boosters reportedly LOVE him (he’s a great politician). Crossing my fingers that they’ll shell out enough dough to keep him waiting 2-3 years…

If our D does what is expected..

I’d be shocked if his salary isn’t doubled.

Not much hope...

Mack recently re-affirmed that he intends to serve out the full term of his contract extension. That’s the year 2020. Diaz will probably leave after 2013.

Not much hope...

Mack Brown recently re-affirmed that he intends to serve out the full term of his contract extension — which runs through 2020. Knowing that, Diaz will probably be gone after the 2013 bowl season.

Behind the scenes

The talk is that the contract was done solely to help recruiting and keep other teams from using the line that Mack won’t be there for all 4 years. I don’t think there is anyway that he stays 13 more seasons…..he admitted to being burnt out in 2010.

People talked about Muschamp's intensity

But Manny seems pretty much as intense, just in a slightly less psychotic way

he's efficient

with his intensity. It’s good that he’s grinding through the little things. However, I don’t like his complacent speech because I’m hoping he’ll be happy and stay at Texas.

me too

feel like he got ignored because of dalton santos’ self (and internet) hype. hey guys…we already have that guy and he’s probably better.

can’t wait.

"It's time to rock the damn boat...

Love it!

If we are extremely successful this year on the field,

some rather large decisions will have to be made regarding Manny Diaz. This year, no doubt IMO. He will be offered.

That video did not help

alleviate my man-crush on Diaz.

It's not that we think we're better than everyone else. It's that we know we are.
