Both of these gentlemen have Texas returning to the BCS but each sees a different bowl and opponent.
Check them out.

Be excellent to each other.

For those of you who don't want to link...
Mandel has UT vs. ‘Bama in the Sugar Bowl, and Kirk has UT vs. Wisconsin in the Fiesta. For what it’s worth, both writers have the aggies picked to be sitting at home watching all the New Years bowl games on TV.
To err is human...but humans have such low standards.

Words can't describe how much I want to see a rematch with Bama.
Call the banners.
My source close to the program can beat up your source close to the program!

I don't care so much about a rematch with 'Bama.
But I would LOVE to meet an SEC team in the MNC and be the ones to end their streak.
To err is human...but humans have such low standards.

SO the Natty is going to feature 2 teams each with New QBs

1st year QBs taking teams to the national title game
happens more than we’d probably expect. Lots of examples in just the last decade.

buy high, sell higher...
If this comes to fruition, we will all be watching games on LHN soon. And Aggies everywhere will be canceling all their cable contracts because the LHN has been added to the sports package of every service provider.
We all knew ESPN wasn’t going to buy high, sell low. If we do rise back to the top this year as predicted, ESPN will be able to get their price.
Hellloooo Samantha Steele……oh crap, too late….

Jason Kirk has OU finishing 3rd behind Texas and WVU
Somewhere in the Panthers’ practice facility, Frank Alexander detects a hint of disrespect.

Does it strike anyone else that Texas's standard deviation is crazy high amongst polls?
The AP/USAToday/establishment polls have us sitting at 15+. Meanwhile, at least three bloggers (the two above and the excellent Pre-Snap Read), with Scipio promising the same have us sitting inside the top ten. Who do I trust? I’d say SR but I think I’d need to see your media credentials first.

makes sense
Most expect Texas to field one of the best defenses in the country. The offense will be better, but what does that mean. One step forward does not get it done. I think the ceiling is BCS and the floor is 8 games. There is still a lot of questions and a lot of talent

Texas is a late move upwards
as national people start doing the math I did back in January.

I think a lot of people
are clueless on what to expect from the Big 12 in general. Tons of variables floating around.

Agree
Two of its most successful programs were mediocre last year, one of its perennial bottom dwellers won 10 games, another bottom dweller beat the conference champion, and the new additions crushed Clemson and beat Boise.

On paper, Texas should be better at every offensive position
And in three months, I can tell you how many points that will be worth . . . Turnovers? . . . I’ll have some insight into that, too.
