Seriously though, feel free to ignore all the other incredible contributions on this site such as, LHS, Nickel Rover, jc25, Scipio Tex, Vasherized, nordberg, nobis, srr50 and the rest of the community. Apparently you are blinded by the awesomeness of linked TEXAS ATHLETICS material for a TEXAS ATHLETICS SBN site. What a wild fucking concept that is, ya know?

I’d like to see the drop off in page views since Jesus went behind a pay wall.

Would you like to see the numbers before Jesus came to the Cosm as well? Because I’m sure they’re probably similar as to where they are now (pure speculation, btw). Does that mean you were unhappy with BC before Jesus and Eric wrote for the Cosm? If thats the case, then maybe you should leave because apparently the concept of enjoying multiple Texas-centric websites for different reasons just might blow your mind.

In all seriousness, if you feel like this website doesn’t produce enough content for you, keep in mind that you have the power to do something about it. Fan shots, Fan posts….use them. Thats what they’re there for bro.

OK, I have a different viewpoint than most folks here. I am a professional writer. I get paid to write, usually about a bunch of stuff I really don’t care about.

But I’ve also had opportunities to write about my passions. And to be an entrepreneur. That’s what these folks on the SBN sites are. They are entrepreneurs, willing to put it all out there, write about their passions, and try to make some scratch off of something they love.

It’s free to you, the reader. So frankly, when you piss all over someone’s hard work, passion, vacation days lost and sleepless nights … man, you suck.

Like I said, if you don’t like it, go elsewhere. There are plenty of other places to read about the Horns.

It was bad luck for the Cosm/BC when Shuttlesworth, Tipsy, and their Cigars and Assets were sucked into the dark hole that is pay sites. I give props to Scip, Rip, and the rest of the boys for valiantly trying to keep the fires burning, but it can’t be easy to lose your biggest draw for readership. I started out with JS on Recruitocosm, then found the Carnival, and now I find myself almost exclusively looking to BON for my news. They seem to be a bit more dependable and credible. But hey, the more the merrier, so keep barking, BC!

There is no single website that is, or will be, the "one-stop" site for news and inside information on the Longhorns. BC is solid and has high-value contributors, as do others, but they all differ in many respects and stand on their own.
